Variants & Conditions

When you add a card you choose its variant (how it was printed) and its condition (how worn it is). Here is what each option means.

Card variants

The printing version of the card. The same card can exist in several variants, often with very different values.

Normal
A standard, non-foil print — the most common version of a card.
Holo
The artwork itself has a shiny, holographic foil finish.
Reverse Holo
The card body (everything except the artwork) has the foil finish.
1st Edition
Carries the “1st Edition” stamp from a set’s very first print run — usually the most sought-after.
Unlimited
A standard reprint without the 1st Edition stamp, made after the first run.

Card conditions

A standard grading scale from flawless to heavily damaged. Grade honestly — it drives your collection value and matters for trades.

  1. Mint

    Flawless. Perfect corners, edges, surface and centering — as if it never left the pack.

  2. Near Mint

    Looks practically unplayed. At most tiny imperfections, barely visible up close.

  3. Excellent

    Light wear — minor softening of edges or corners, but still clean and attractive.

  4. Good

    Moderate, clearly visible wear: edge whitening, light scratches or surface marks.

  5. Lightly Played

    Noticeable wear (whitening, scratches, a minor crease) but no major damage.

  6. Played

    Heavy wear — significant whitening, scratches, creases or scuffing.

  7. Poor

    Major damage: heavy creasing, tears, water damage or writing. Often only a filler copy.
